gleaming crescent moon
surrounded by morning’s deep …
rhythms, move in place
move in place

the still/unstill of early morning… perfectly captured
Doesn’t it… sometimes I would like to know that I’m capturing a moment at the moment I’m capturing it! :)
So often it’s after, or when it’s pointed out to me that the event/non-event occurred.
Does this make sense to you?
that would just be the elusive nature of time… she can be a little fickle and camera-shy, but every now and then, people with eyes to see and lightning quick reflexes and catch a glimpse of her and immortalize a moment…
I think of it like cracking open rocks looking for geodes. You don’t know what’s there until the rock lies open in front of you.
I love the geode analogy! I used to be a total rockhound, especially as a kid growing up down in Austin. So your analogy really resonates with me.
I can see the brilliant amethyst crystals of a geode in my mind’s eye. haha
