Yes, I was ready to make a change. It’s in keeping with my “theme” (sort-of) of empty benches. And I think that it’s morphing into a second level (sort-of) theme of seasonal, empty benches from anywhere, anytime. This looked rather spring like, to me. We’ll see where it morphs next. I might change it out more often than once a season, though. I like making the changes. Not every week, I’m sure.
But I’ve slowed down on the haiku writing. No more 10 per day! Still, I love this blog and want to enjoy it for some time to come.

I guess it’s a little odd commenting on my own posts outright… lol! I searched godaddy.com for domain name emptybench.com. Already taken! That’s a frustrating activity, in case you haven’t spent too much time with it – domain name search… Yes, emptybench.com is taken, and is used an employment or talent agency.
Perhaps that’s a good use for it, but the name is a redirect. As soon as you type it, you go to the company website with their own domain name. Well, at least they do have an image of an empty bench by the beach. That’s less frustrating than when I do a domain search on a name and find it parked – not even being used. That’s the real kicker! It happens a lot – part of the e-gold rush, I guess.
Oh well, I might think of something else. I don’t really need any more poetry blogs (or websites, etc.) It’s just that creative process “thing” you know?
Your poetry is truly inspiring. I absolutely love your blog, and I visit your blog everyday!
Hello, lunchtableguy! I really appreciate your comments and support… It’s great to know that there are bloggers who appreciate my writing. You know how it is. Sometimes a writer wonders if their work is up to par. Well, I just keep writing, no matter what my inner self is telling me.
I like to see what’s around the next corner! :)
I had to edit this response! Lunchtableguy aka Richard! I was just visiting your blog. Thanks for the kind words about my blog. :) I appreciate them very much. You have gone out of your way, that’s for sure!
And I gotta say, you have a good start with your blog! Just keep writing. That’s my suggestion. I’ve had blogs before – several. Sometimes I would just let them sit for many months at a time, not posting. I think the trick is to post, post, post. At least something every couple of days. But every day is even better! If you just do that, you’ll stay in the habit of writing. So, you can see that the haiku are helpful to me in that way. They are short, but keep me in the habit of writing. Of course sometimes a haiku takes me quite a while to get just right! hahaha
Hey, like the new banner. It’s very lush and inviting. NOT doing ten poems a day is okay. Just do whatever comes naturally to you.
grins
Thanks, 47whitebuffalo! Actually, on a weekend day, sometimes, there still might be 10. I’m not competing with myself or Issa anymore…
Maybe Basho a little bit! haha
