my answer

to answer the first
and to answer the second . . .
my answer would be

humid night

through the humid night
crickets chirp and half-moon shines . . .
their sharp and fuzzy

ornate swallowtail
her wings black with shiny blue . . .
finds her nectar blooms

could have sworn you said
but now you swear you didn’t . . .
swearing isn’t good

their fate

kites circle and dive
a lush elm tree beckons them . . .
their fate is unsealed

the rest of us

the morning moon fades
lost in the day star dazzle . . .
like the rest of us

starting to forget
here in my submarine space
run silent, run deep

barley scythe

trying to stay poised . . .
mood swings like a barley scythe
with strange attractions

easily dimmed

bright lights and shadows
so easily dimmed by clouds . . .
the bee keeps working

Oh look! Now all my haiku posts have a tweet button. Isn’t that just lovely? If you’re a twitter type, like me, it’s such a welcome addition wordpress has made.

Thanks, wordpress! :)

BTW, I’m ahaikupoet on twitter, so you can follow my haiku tweets. You know I have 5 haiku blogs, and I tweet all my ku. Yes, I du.
And, I have the new tweet widget installed here. So you can read my haiku tweets, too… Oh yeah!
